McKinnon Building (MCK) – Building Automation System Maintenance

Building #142 – Legacy Controller #67 Upgrade

Facilities Management has contracted SRD Controls to update the Building Automation System DDC Controller in the lower mechanical room #065. This controller is responsible for running the heating water system at the East end of the building, and air handling equipment for the Dance Studio and some offices. Ventilation equipment to all other parts of the building will continue to operate. The controller also operates the Domestic Hot Water for showers that may cool if in heavy use (the tank capacity is very large). The building will undergo normal morning warm up prior to the controller being replaced. Temperatures in occupied spaces may fluctuate throughout the day.

Following the controller upgrade, all the system Inputs and Outputs (HVAC, temperature sensors, heating control valves, etc.) will be tested to ensure they operate as expected.
