Saunders 1 – Building #248 – Legacy Controller #69
Facilities Management has contracted SRD Controls to update the Building Automation System DDC Controller in the upper mechanical room #140A. This controller is responsible for running the heating water system and air handling equipment. The building will undergo normal morning warm-up prior to the controller being replaced. Ventilation equipment will continue to operate in a MANUAL state.
Please note that the boiler room access is through the meeting room #140. This room is booked for the duration of the upgrade, but meetings can still take place if required with the understanding that personnel may occasionally access the room.
Following the controller upgrade, all the system Inputs and Outputs (HVAC, temperature sensors, heating control valves, etc.) will be tested to ensure they operate as expected.
NOTE FOR SHIFT ENGINEERS: The contractor will be starting tomorrow 7:00am. Please check that the boilers and pumps are enabled for Saunders heating water. Contractors will be requested to do so but may also need assistance.
