Tru Cooperative Bank Indigenous Scholarship

A $3,000 scholarship is available from Tru Cooperative Bank for an outstanding Indigenous student in the Bachelor of Commerce program in the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business.

As one of Canada’s largest cooperative financial service providers, Tru Cooperative Bank offers members the financial strength, comprehensive product selection and extended branch network of a large financial institution, while maintaining local brand identities and a unique grassroots approach to service. They exist to simplify lives and help members and communities thrive.

An important part of how they live this out is through a deep commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity within their organization and the regions they serve—a promise that is championed by Tru Cooperative Bank CEO Launi Skinner. This includes building new connections and deepening existing relationships with Indigenous Peoples. One way they do this is by increasing educational opportunities for Indigenous students.
