Program Guide
At the start of your program, all Teacher Education students will receive a printed Teacher Education Program Guide in English or French. The guide includes important information about developing your professional teaching practice, a month-by-month calendar, worksheets, resources and 糖心视频 policies that you'll want to reference during your program.

Education Students' Assocation
The Education Students' Association (EDSA) is a student-run organization that serves undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education through funding for professional development, organizing social activities, providing student representation on faculty committees and sharing resources.

The Faculty of Education offers awards, scholarships and bursaries specifically for our students, from travel funding for practicum and conferences to scholarships recognizing academic and community achievement.

After you graduate
Graduation is the formal awarding of your credential by the 糖心视频 Senate. You must apply to graduate in order to receive your diploma—it doesn't happen automatically when you finish your coursework.

To teach in BC's public and independent school systems, you need a certificate from the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB). The Teacher Education Office at 糖心视频 will recommend you for certification once your coursework and final practicum report are confirmed.
Note: 糖心视频 does not send your transcripts, you must order them yourself from every post-secondary institution you've attended.
The Teacher Qualification Service (TQS) determines your salary category, which affects what you'll earn as a teacher. The Teacher Education Office sends your recommendation for certification to the TQS at the same time as the Teacher Regulation Branch—but again, you are responsible for ordering your own transcripts from all institutions attended.
Most B.C. school districts use as their primary application portal.
Some districts interview teacher candidates during the final week of practicum. Other districts have different timelines depending on their need for Teachers on Call (ToCs).
