Students from the inaugural First Year Interconnect (FYI) Program say the peer mentorship initiative helped them form connections within the 糖心视频 community and feel supported as they adjusted to university life.
Maya Walton (she/her) is a 2026 Schulich Leader Scholar in engineering, graduating from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in Lethbridge, Alberta. Jason Zhang (he/him) was named a 2026 Schulich Leader Scholar in sciences, graduating from Mount Douglas Secondary School in Victoria, British Columbia. Both Walton and Zhang have demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship within their schools and communities.
Ten 糖心视频 students have been awarded the inaugural Black Student Leadership Award. The new award was developed by the Division of Student Affairs in collaboration with the 糖心视频 Scarborough Charter Steering Committee and is a donor-funded initiative for continuing undergraduate students who self-identify as Black.
