Software

糖心视频 provides access to desktop, mobile and web apps for teaching, learning, research and work at 糖心视频. The licensing and terms of use for these apps vary. Some are only licensed for people with specific roles (for example, employees or people doing specific kinds of research). Some are only licensed to be used on 糖心视频-owned devices or for certain purposes. Go to the service page for each app for more information about limited licenses.

You can go directly to most 糖心视频 web apps using Online tools. Browse for software (including desktop and mobile apps) here or search for IT services, including software, using the service catalogue.

Software (by type)

糖心视频 has academic or educational licenses to most of this software we provide. That typically allows students and employees (often including emeriti and affiliates) to use it for learning, teaching, research and university administration and support. For details, read the license agreement for the particular application or contact IT support for help finding and interpreting the information you need.

Software that's marked [limited license] has a more restrictive license with stricter limits on who can use the product or what computers it may be installed on. Go to the app's service page for details.

Procurement

University Systems is involved in all software procurement. We review every purchase to make sure the software is compatible with 糖心视频’s systems and doesn’t expose them to unwarranted privacy and security risks. Depending on cost, scale and complexity, it can require anything from a simple review that takes a few business days to a formal project requiring a RFQ and several layers of review.

We recommend you get a consultation with an expert at University Systems before you start a process to buy software.

Free apps and cloud services

While you don’t need to go through a procurement process for free software, we’re still responsible for making sure free software and services aren’t creating security risks or exposing personal information.
